There was only one church for 1500 years, untill the reformation, now, there are more than 20,000 denomination
mariatheresa asked the question:
If the catholic church is not the one true church started by Jesus Christ, then why did He wait 1500 yrs. to bring the true church? Or did He? Did you know every other church has for its founder a mans name, but only the catholic church can say, Jesus Christ is it’s founder. Check the history and you will know the truth.

Excellent point. Evangelical fundies get pwned.
And roman catholics, you too have some hypocrisy. For instance, why did man make changes to the church? Council of trent etc?
Some examples include-
mass can be said in any language
differing on what the sacraments are(thats a big one)
public to private confession
Actually, the Eastern Orthodox Church broke off in 1054.
Untrue. Google “the Great Schism.”
jesus did not start the catholic church …constantine did
the early church was a loose association of believers who met in each others homes and underground areas……..they did not worship Mary or say Mass……or pray to saints., or hear confessions…..the early leaders were allowed to marry and they kept holy the true sabbath, which was Saturday, not Sunday.
it was an evangelistic group that spread the gospel and miracles followed them everywhere they went……
There are 7 independent churches in the book of revelations. Did you ever read it? Plus Paul broke with Peter. Peter back slid, remained in Jeruselam, compromised with the old Jewish religion. That is why Jesus Choose Paul. Paul obeyed, and went into the whole world to preach the gospel. Peter didn’t.
The Catholic Church could be more rightly called the Constantine Church. In 325 A.D. (300 years after the death of Christ for you math scholars) the Roman Emperor decreed the Nicea Creed that “formed” the modern idea of “trinity” and all other Christian Sects were considered heretics. Gospels were burned, Christian leaders were murdered and much of the life of the living Yeshua was hidden from most of the world. Some of this knowledge found its way into the Gnostic Christian Doctrine, yet that too has swayed from the real life of the living Jewish Yeshua. In the 1920s - 1945 the “The Nag Hammadi Library” was found in Israel through Egypt along with the Dead Sea Scrolls and more Gnostic gospels. Some of these included actual accounts from Yeshua’s actual disciples, for only 1 gospel out of the 4 in the New Testament, the gospel of John, was written by a contempary of the living Yeshua. These books help shed light on the actual life of the man we call Jesus (Yeshua). Luther’s translation of the Catholic New Testament also helped to shed light on Constantine’s Church Testament.
Knowledge is Power, for even in Hebrews it reads, “Milk is fine for the new believer, but solid food is for the mature….let us leave elementary teachings and move on to maturity.”
